Geospatial and Mapping
Mapping and field tools made to last
We assemble mapping and field tools on M4, our multi-tenant platform, and run them for the long term. Locations and field assets, media and notifications come from the managed core, and Mapiddiction, our mapping product, adds custom maps and AI-assisted wayfinding. Our work spans field mobility, public maps, venue navigation, spatial data integration and long-term geospatial programs for Government and Enterprise.
What M4 brings to mapping programs
Core · configured
Shared features every program uses as they are. We run them, secure them and keep them current for everyone.
Extended capability · extended
A core feature we extend for your program, with your own fields, rules and behaviour, without changing it for anyone else.
- Data feeds
Bring external data into your program on a schedule, mapped to the way your program uses it.
- Alerts
Publish alerts to the people who need them, carrying the detail your program depends on.
Custom modules · crafted
Modules we craft only for your program and plug into the core, so they use features like sign-in, media, notifications and data.
- Maps and wayfinding
Private maps of venues, campuses and events, with accessible routing.

Backed by Practical Delivery
Dependable data pipelines behind every map
We design and support digital mapping systems that combine dependable data pipelines, cloud services, spatial APIs and well designed interfaces. Our work includes large public venues, regulated environments, infrastructure planning tools, agricultural operations, visitor navigation and consumer facing maps.
We work extensively with ESRI ArcGIS, custom APIs, geolocation services, MapBox, high accuracy GNSS receivers and cloud based spatial services. Our experience also includes a long term partnership with NSW Spatial Services on the NSW Survey Marks program, where we helped surface complex geodetic data for industry professionals and the public.
The spatial stack behind our delivery
- ESRI ArcGIS
- MapBox
- MapBox Studio
- Google Maps SDK
- Apple MapKit
- MapTiler
From base layers to offline field maps
Designing custom maps for websites and mobile apps with digital wayfinding, through to large enterprise field mapping solutions.
Google Maps
We have integrated the Google Maps SDK for both iOS and Android. Across web and mobile deliveries we have delivered address lookup, delivery management and real-time tracking.
Apple Maps
Apple’s MapKit embeds maps directly into your own windows and views. We use it for interactive maps with custom annotations and location based overlays, and to show users their current location.
Custom map layers
Using Google Maps and Apple Maps as a base layer, we design the custom map layer in MapTiler and integrate it with mobile apps, venue signage and offline print, converting images and data into zoomable maps.
Digital wayfinding
Creative custom digital wayfinding for events, venues and large outdoor and indoor spaces. Our software lets you manage content and routes in real time.
ESRI survey marking
Online and offline modes for field mobility applications such as survey marking, recording points of interest and updating a database of markers.
Offline maps
ESRI offline mapping lets users in areas with intermittent, low or no connectivity download maps and use them locally, with overlays for fishing zones, recreational forest areas, POIs and downloadable map file versions.

For Regulated and Operational Environments
Field mobility that holds up offline and on the boundary
Mobiddiction delivers field mobility tools that support staff working in remote, distributed or regulated environments. These tools combine real time positioning, offline capability, spatial overlays and tight integration with enterprise systems.
For Forestry Corporation of NSW we support a field platform that integrates ESRI ArcGIS services and high precision RTK GNSS receivers. Operators use it to view boundaries, zones and planning layers while working in the field. The app includes a dynamic boundary warning system that alerts operators as they approach harvesting limits, helping maintain compliance with EPA requirements. It can sync in connected areas and then continue to operate offline with accurate boundaries and maps.

Field mobility for home and office installs
We created a field mobility tool for technicians installing equipment in homes and offices. It integrates with customer service systems through APIs and provides real time location tracking, job status updates and call masking. It uses geolocation and spatial data to guide technicians through required steps and prevents departures before the correct approvals and signoffs have been captured.

Real time detections and public safety alerts
SharkSmart gives the public tagged shark detections, beach safety alerts, and shark safety and risk reduction information on a map. It runs on M4, with alerts extended for beach, species and detection detail, and custom modules for SmartDrumline, drone and tagging operations. It gives DPIRD Fisheries a dependable way to communicate with the public.

Localised fishing rules, based on where you are
FishSmart gives recreational fishers access to localised rules and regulations based on their current location, including zoning and area based restrictions. The mapping uses DPIRD Fisheries MapBox and MapBox Studio as the source of truth for regulation and spatial information.

Event Wayfinding
Maps that change as fast as the event does
Mobiddiction creates dynamic maps and navigation systems for major events that need to adapt to temporary infrastructure, crowds and rapidly changing event schedules or conditions.
The Sydney Royal Easter Show venue is well mapped by Google and Apple, but for the duration of the event those maps do not work. Open space is fenced in with access via four entries, and internal roads and paths are blocked by ferris wheels, exhibits and food stands, which makes the walking directions from standard map SDKs unusable. Using satellite imagery, event planning and logistics documents and site visits, we mapped every event, attraction, facility, path intersection and building entrance in the precinct, then mapped the walkable connections between them into several hundred location nodes.
For the Royal Melbourne Show and the Sydney Royal Easter Show we delivered visitor maps with real time updates and custom wayfinding. These platforms supported more than one hundred thousand users during each event and remained stable under peak load.

Aerial Photography and Site Mapping
Drone capture where public imagery falls short
When clients require updated or highly accurate site maps, we operate drone and aerial capture programs to produce current spatial data. This supports baseline maps, measurement workflows, planning overlays and consumer facing applications.
In 2023, Invocare Group engaged us to produce new maps for 14 cemeteries and memorial parks across NSW and SE Qld. By using the same capture and processing approach at each site, we delivered a consistent experience across all venues.

Frequently asked questions
What does Mobiddiction do in geospatial and mapping?
We assemble mapping and field tools on M4, our multi-tenant platform: accurate spatial data, cloud services, APIs and intuitive mapping interfaces for public venues, regulated environments, field operations and consumer apps. Mapiddiction, our mapping product, is a custom module on M4.
How does Mobiddiction integrate with ArcGIS and MapBox?
We connect directly to ESRI ArcGIS and MapBox through spatial services, APIs, custom data pipelines, and cloud hosting to deliver reliable, real-time mapping across large-scale or regulated environments. These are systems we integrate with program by program.
What are field mobility tools and who uses them?
Field mobility tools help staff working in remote or regulated environments by providing real-time positioning, offline maps, spatial overlays, and compliance workflows. They’re used in forestry, retail operations and government field work.
How does offline mapping capability work?
Our tools sync when online, then operate fully offline using cached boundaries, layers and maps, so navigation and compliance stay accurate even where there is no connectivity.
What is drone mapping and why is it important?
Drone mapping uses aerial capture to create high-accuracy, up-to-date spatial data for planning, measurement workflows, and public-facing maps. It reduces time, cost, and inconsistencies across multiple sites.
How does Mobiddiction support event wayfinding for large venues?
We create dynamic maps with real-time updates and wayfinding routes built around temporary event infrastructure and changing schedules. In Mapiddiction, routing is AI-assisted and scored for accessibility.
Which industries benefit from Mobiddiction’s geospatial solutions?
Industries include government, agriculture, forestry, infrastructure, events, public safety, retail operations, and consumer-facing digital programs requiring accurate spatial data and scalable delivery.
