AR, VR and XR

Immersive technology that solves a real problem

More than a decade of immersive work across augmented reality, spatial computing, drone-based data capture, 3D modelling, 360° media, interactive environments and virtual reality. Our focus is always practical.

What We Do

Immersive experiences with a purpose

We design and develop immersive solutions that help organisations communicate complex ideas, guide people through unfamiliar environments, improve learning outcomes, and create memorable brand and customer experiences. The work sits where UX, engineering, spatial data, behavioural design and real-world operational constraints meet, so you get a partner who shapes both the technology and the experience around it. PatientVR is the immersive program we run on M4. Our AR, Unity and 360° work is crafted to suit each program, and uses M4’s core where the program calls for it.

On M4

What M4 brings to immersive programs

Core · configured

Shared features every program uses as they are. We run them, secure them and keep them current for everyone.

Custom modules · crafted

Modules we craft only for your program and plug into the core, so they use features like sign-in, media, notifications and data.

Virtual Reality

Virtual reality, on M4 and standalone

PatientVR runs on M4 as a managed program, with content, access and headset management for patient care. Alongside it, we develop standalone VR apps crafted for one audience, such as VapingVR for youth health education and RocketCrew for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Our virtual reality page covers both routes, the programs we have delivered, and how we help organisations choose headsets and plan a rollout.

Augmented Reality

AR and spatially aware experiences

Augmented reality lets organisations layer engagement, guidance and information directly onto the physical world. We have used it for pedestrian navigation, event experiences and branded engagements where location and spatial interaction matter.

For The Great Melbourne Footy Grab, our work for the City of Melbourne combined location intelligence, QR code anchors and geospatial logic to help fans and visitors discover content, locations and prizes. We also apply AR wayfinding in precincts and temporary environments such as exhibitions, events and pop-up installations.

AR Capabilities

Ways clients put AR to work

AR engages people who cannot visit your location in person, or extends your digital experience on websites and mobile, bringing objects to life in 2D and 3D for people to interact with.

  • AR face detection

The Sydney ThundAR activation for HomeWorld at Sydney Thunder home games used face detection to paint Thunder-themed filters onto fans’ faces, created with Apple’s ARKit.

  • 2D and 3D objects in space

AR objects sit within a defined space as people move their phone around, adding a layer of experience or education at your location.

  • AR wayfinding

An AR view with location intelligence that shows points of interest along the way, and what is around people relative to where they are.

  • Products in AR on websites

Customers can view a product as a 360° object before they buy. AR links on your website let people place products in their own space, with no app download.

  • AR measure

Use AR to measure spaces and place objects at a location.

  • Gamification and engagement

AR can drive gamification and engagement, including coupons for loyalty and rewards programs.

3D and Unity

Interactive 3D environments and Unity development

Mobiddiction creates interactive 3D applications in Unity, from simulation-style environments to information-rich 3D walkthroughs, running on mobile, desktop and Meta Quest headsets. Spaces like these suit education, onboarding, training, property walkthroughs, digital twins and product demonstrations, letting people explore environments or concepts naturally, backed by structured UX design and clear narrative flow.

Drone and Spatial Capture

Drone capture, aerial imagery and spatial modelling

Many immersive projects need accurate, current representations of real places. Mobiddiction runs drone and programmed drone-mission workflows that capture high-resolution aerial photography for mapping, geospatial datasets and 3D modelling. Photogrammetry turns that imagery into terrain models, elevation maps and realistic 3D representations for planning, visualisation or AR and VR experiences. We have used these methods in property, construction, events, memorial parks, agriculture and environmental programs.

Location Awareness

Beacons and indoor positioning

Immersive experiences often depend on knowing where someone is in real time. Mobiddiction has delivered location-aware applications using Bluetooth beacons, Wi-Fi positioning, QR codes and optical recognition for indoor navigation, triggered experiences and guided interactions. This is valuable in retail, events, public venues, workplaces and education, where GPS is limited or more precise positioning is needed.

Rich Media

360° photography and virtual environments

We capture and produce 360° photography and video for real estate, virtual conferences, museums, tourism and brand activations. These let organisations show an environment, explain a process or tell an immersive story without a headset or specialised hardware. This includes 360° storytelling installed in a space for visitors. For Genesys we created virtual global sales summits with 360° scenes of Sydney and the Great Barrier Reef.

Why Mobiddiction

A partner focused on outcomes, not novelty

Mobiddiction builds and manages enduring digital programs for Government and Enterprise on M4, our multi-tenant platform. 100% Australian-owned since 2012.

  • Immersive technology such as VR, AR and XR is only valuable when it solves a real problem: behaviour change, education, guidance, brand engagement, spatial understanding or operational planning.
  • We design immersive solutions that work in the real world, and where a program needs sign-in, media, notifications or analytics we assemble them on M4.
  • We bring the engineering discipline, spatial expertise and creative experience to deliver these programs across enterprise, marketing, health, government and events, delivered on mobile devices, headsets, the web and on-site installations.
