Industries

Agritech and farming tools made for the paddock

Digital programs for agriculture, forestry and regional industries that work in the paddock and in the cab and cope with patchy connectivity. We assemble them on M4, our multi-tenant platform, and run them for the long term.

On M4

What M4 brings to agriculture and regional programs

Field programs need sign-in, maps, photos and alerts that work the same way every season. M4 supplies them as a managed core, and we extend or craft the rest for your operation.

Core · configured

Shared features every program uses as they are. We run them, secure them and keep them current for everyone.

Extended capability · extended

A core feature we extend for your program, with your own fields, rules and behaviour, without changing it for anyone else.

  • Alerts

Publish alerts to the people who need them, carrying the detail your program depends on.

How We Work

Systems that hold up in the real world

Agriculture, forestry and regional industries need systems that hold up in the real world: tools that work in the paddock and in the cab, handle patchy connectivity, and still integrate cleanly with the platforms that run the business.

Our team brings product thinking, secure cloud delivery and location-aware services to that work, and stays on to run it, because outcomes here are measured in compliance, productivity, safety and time saved.

Farmgate Auctions

Real-time livestock auctions with a clean audit trail

Farmgate Auctions is an Australian online livestock selling platform for web and mobile. We took over its development and managed service in 2019.

Online auctions have to manage live bidding, time-critical state changes, seller and bidder identity and a clean audit trail, while staying responsive under load. We bring the engineering discipline real-time auctions need, and the security foundations to protect bidder and seller details and reduce the risk of auction fraud and misuse.

NSW DPIRD Agriculture

A decision tool designed around how farmers work

The Drought and Supplementary Feed Calculator helps farmers plan feed rations for sheep and cattle through drought, and is designed for use in the field.

Tools like this succeed or fail on usability and speed, not feature count. The focus is on clear inputs, reliable results and plain language, with a design that respects how farmers work day to day: under time pressure and mostly on a phone. We run it as a product, improving it from real usage and feedback rather than treating it as a one-off release.

Forestry Corporation of NSW

Geospatial as an operational control, not a visual layer

MapApp shows what happens when geospatial becomes an operational control. It combines high-precision RTK GNSS positioning with deep ESRI ArcGIS integration to support field operations and planning.

A key outcome is the dynamic boundary warning system, which alerts harvester operators in the cab as they approach a defined boundary, supporting safer operations and compliance with land-use and Environment Protection Authority requirements. Systems like this also need careful integration with work management and planning platforms, so spatial truth and operational truth stay in step.

Field Experience

Field experience that translates into better delivery

We have spent years delivering technology into field-based environments, and it changes how we design and operate systems.

  • Designed for patchy connectivity

Tools that work in the paddock and in the cab, and still sync cleanly with the platforms that run the business.

  • Real-time engineering discipline

Live bidding, time-critical state changes and clean audit trails, staying responsive under load.

  • Geospatial as operational control

High-precision RTK GNSS positioning and ESRI ArcGIS integration, with boundary warnings that support safer operations.

  • Security foundations

Protecting personal information such as bidder and seller details, and reducing the risk of fraud and misuse.

  • Delivered as a product

Continuous improvement informed by real usage and feedback, not a one-off release.

  • We speak the language

Seasonal workflows, compliance boundaries, livestock movements and on-ground logistics are familiar ground. That shortens discovery, sharpens requirements and leads to tools that get adopted.
