Integration and API Services
Modernise in steps with a managed API backbone
Programs are only as strong as the connections between them. We deliver integration on M4, our multi-tenant platform, which gives every program a managed integrations framework, per-workspace API keys and room for custom connectors. It sits at the centre of how we help organisations modernise, reduce technical debt and turn core systems into flexible, long-lived assets.
On M4
Managed core services, plus connectors crafted for your systems
M4 (formerly Mobiconnect) is Mobiddiction’s multi-tenant platform. PatientVR, Mapiddiction, SharkSmart and Mobiddiction’s own website and support portal run on it today. For integration work it provides managed core services (identity, content, media, notifications, locations and analytics) through REST APIs, with API keys issued per workspace and limited to the permissions they need.
Its integrations framework handles connector sign-in, credential encryption and health checks. Where your program needs to reach a specialised or in-house system, we craft a custom connector for it. Scheduled external data comes in without manual updates: SharkSmart takes Bureau of Meteorology, Beachwatch and timeanddate data this way.
M4 is hosted on Amazon Web Services in Sydney. Developed and operated under Mobiddiction’s Information Security Management System, certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 by an independent, accredited auditor.
Integration capabilities, switched on for your program
We switch on what your program needs. Where it needs more, we add scheduled data and craft connectors for your own systems.
Core · configured
Shared features every program uses as they are. We run them, secure them and keep them current for everyone.
Extended capability · extended
A core feature we extend for your program, with your own fields, rules and behaviour, without changing it for anyone else.
- Data feeds
Bring external data into your program on a schedule, mapped to the way your program uses it.

More Than Connecting Systems
Use APIs to decouple legacy systems from new digital channels
Most enterprises already have significant investment in ERPs, CRMs, identity platforms and line-of-business systems, and rewriting everything to move to the cloud is rarely realistic. We use APIs as the layer that wraps legacy platforms so new apps and services can use them safely. That layer shields new products from fragile back ends, gives a controlled boundary for data, security and performance, and lets you modernise progressively rather than risk a big-bang replacement.
You keep the core platforms that are still strong while adding modern cloud services, mobile apps and customer experiences on top. Where a system is approaching end of life, new apps can use it alongside a replacement plan with deadlines and contingencies, so it is retired before it is decommissioned. We do this as a platform partner with deep integration experience, not just a delivery team.
Senior integration architects, with the boilerplate automated
Our senior integration architects use AI-assisted tools to speed up the routine parts of integration work, such as analysing existing interfaces and drafting specifications. Architects review everything, so your teams can focus on edge cases, security, performance and product behaviour rather than boilerplate wiring.
Analyse existing patterns
We use AI to analyse existing integration patterns and interfaces across your estate before anything is rebuilt.
Surface mapping and transformation rules
Candidate mapping and transformation rules are surfaced for architects to confirm, instead of being reverse-engineered by hand.
Generate draft specifications
Draft API specifications, stubs and policies are generated as a starting point for architect review.
Propose migration patterns
We propose migration patterns onto M4’s connector framework, so legacy modernisation follows a repeatable path to a more maintainable architecture.
We treat APIs as products in their own right
That means designing APIs from the outside in, starting with real user journeys and business scenarios; thinking about internal and external consumers, onboarding, documentation and support; planning versioning, deprecation and succession from the start; and monitoring usage, performance and behaviour so APIs evolve as products rather than stay static integrations. Platform APIs often become assets that are later opened to partners or third parties, so we design with that in mind even when the first phase is purely internal.
Third-party APIs are not just data feeds
We treat the external platforms you rely on as products that need managing too. They are dependencies that need clear ownership, monitoring, fallback strategies and disaster recovery planning.
Integration that supports products which evolve over years
We bring product thinking into integration work: working with product managers and business owners to define API use cases and data contracts, aligning integration plans with platform and product plans, designing API layers for new digital channels and business models rather than only today’s front ends, and providing managed services so your integration layer stays secure, monitored, supported and continuously improved. Our teams blend solution architects, integration specialists, product managers, DevOps engineers and security practitioners, so we think in terms of lifetime value, not just project delivery.
Integration in Practice
Proven in demanding, real-world environments
The NSW SharkSmart program integrates real-time tagged shark detections, environmental data and surveillance information from external marine and operational systems. SharkSmart PRO extends this to internal operational staff, who rely on accurate, timely integrations to support public safety decisions at the coast. SharkSmart was originally delivered on Mobiconnect and has since been modernised onto M4.
Across other programs we have integrated identity platforms, including Azure Active Directory and AWS Cognito, for authentication, access control, role-based permissions, single sign-on and multi-factor authentication; and geospatial platforms, including ESRI ArcGIS and Mapbox, for maps, spatial analytics and GIS workflows. These are integrations we have delivered for specific programs, not connectors included in M4.

A long-term integration partner, not a one-off delivery team
Mobiddiction builds and manages enduring digital programs for Government and Enterprise on M4, our multi-tenant platform. 100% Australian-owned since 2012.
- Since 2012, Mobiddiction has worked as a long-term technology partner for organisations that need stability as well as innovation.
- Many of our programs have run for more than a decade, evolving through multiple technology shifts without full rewrites.
- Our certified Information Security Management System, M4’s hosting on Amazon Web Services in Sydney and our experience in regulated areas such as healthcare and public safety give Government and Enterprise teams a documented, audited basis for integration work.
